CHALLENGE

The hire car business has become a race to the bottom to find the best possible price through comparison sites. We needed to remind our audience that a hire car is more than a way to get from A to B. Also, that Hertz offer a superior level of service designed to get you on the road faster than anyone else.

 

ANSWER

The first day of a trip is a ‘travelling day’ - and a waste of precious holiday time. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Hertz gets you on the road faster than anyone else. So why stop for a bad motorway coffee and a sandwich when you could find something much more exciting? We developed the Hertz Route-Planner (a mash-up of Google Maps, Directions and Places) that customers could use to find the half way point on their next trip and filter the area through their own interests and passions to find the perfect stop-off (amazing restaurants, hidden beaches, fun water parks etc.). We created a press, digital and social campaign to inspire travellers across Europe to start imagining the possibilities when you hire a Hertz.

 

IMPACT

A 26% uplift in visitors to European booking websites.
